Could it really be true? A reunion of one of the greatest bands -- in my opinion -- ever?

Apparently, Billy Corgan took out full-page ads in the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune annoucing that he would reunite the band.
"For a year now I have walked around with a secret," Corgan wrote in the ad. "Now I want you to be among the first to know that I have made plans to renew and revive the Smashing Pumpkins. I want my band back, and my songs and my dreams. In this desire I feel I have come home again."

Take a look at the article here. We'll see if this actually happens.

man, I am really lazy when I have nothing to do.

I saw Batman Begins last night... and it was quite superb. It's dark, brooding and rough (as in unpolished... and no nipples on the batsuit!). After an eight-year hiatus, it looks like the Batman series has started anew, and this time, in a great direction.

I got my final grades for this term... 3 As and an A+!! Yes, I was very, very excited to go out with such a bang.

I have an interview tomorrow with Portland State University... it's a PR job in their Marketing and Communication department. It would be the perfect opportunity to get into the PR world, and I'm looking forward to it.

oh, and can you believe this?

Teddy Ruxpin is making a comeback! My sisters and I had one as a kid... we loved that thing (though, I was always annoyed when I would put a non Worlds of Wonder tape into his back... say like a Star Wars book-with-cassette tape, and Ol' T.R. decided he was to good to mouth along with it. Grrr.). I think we finally broke him though by putting too many M&Ms in his mouth, or something equally as stupid. But, c'mon... we were kids... what else were we supposed to do?

One more thing... I just got tickets for Samantha (my 23-year-old kid sister, for those of you keeping tabs) and I to see The White Stripes on August 10th at the Keller in Portland. We were there two years ago, same venue, and we had a blast. Their new album is amazing and this should be a fantastic show.

i'm no longer a University of Oregon student.

nope... now, and forever more, I'm a University of Oregon alumnus.

Thanks for all the memories, UO. You'll always be my second home. Go Ducks!

i hate when people say "due to the fact."

just say "because"...
that's what you mean...

also, people who say "irregardless" are just incredibly stupid.
honestly, think about it... to say "regardless" means, literally, without regard. why in the hell would you then need to negate it further by adding the prefix "ir"?
case in point... you don't.
